I always enjoy my stays at Cahir House Hotel. The location is wonderful, very close to Cahir Castle and the Swiss Cottage walk. The rooms are comfortable, and most importantly the staff are amazing, so friendly and accommodating. I love the option of dinner and breakfast, very reasonably priced food, delicious meals and gluten free options which are necessary for us. Highly recommend staying here.

Great location in town square with free parking, room was nice and lovely modern bathroom . Staff were friendly and efficient . Breakfast was delicious and bar food was excellent . Overall good value for money

Great staff in the hotel and bar....wonderful folks

Cahir House was a shot in the dark for us. We were heading to the ferry in Rosslare and wanted to play a game of golf. We were happy to find out the legacy of the house, one of the homes of the Butler family. It is a refined cornerstone to the swirl of traffic that marks the historical crossroads of the town. We were will well served by the staff, knowledgeable and conversant, anticipating questions about where to park the car, for instance. The bar/pub was particularly good. The food varied from the traditional meat and potatoes, arranged on a mound of mashed potatoes and finished with pea shoots (i like the taste of pea shoots to counter the heaviness of meat), to more contemporary fare, crunchy spring rolls, a dish with prawns. We ate out in the garden twice. The weather was exceptionally warm and the garden was vital, but noticed that for that reason it was not likely so common for people to eat outdoors. It was more a place for beer and conversation. We enjoyed and preferred to be inserted into a real town. Lava, the neighbor, had a better format for eating outdoors. It was apples and oranges and for that reason, it was nice to feel that they were neighbors. At the sandwich shop a grandmother said the town was thinking about making the crossroads a plaza without vehicular traffic. We can see its merits. Hard as it was to the cross without getting run over, denying traffic would deprive the town of the thousands of eyes that admire the form of Cahir: Castle, River, Manor, Town. Old time hotel that's well kept. Town centre location with food and pubs locally so not a bad place to stay.

Very clean and modern rooms in a very historic building. Great staff, friendly residents' bar and right in the heart of Cahir, close to the Castle and walking track to the Swiss Cottage. I really enjoyed my stay in Cahir and this was a very comfortable room to stay in. Highly recommended!

I love Cahir, Cahir Castle and the Cahir House Hotel!! My stay at the Cahir House Hotel was exceptional! From the friendly welcome and check in from Octavia and the expert reservation management and local advice from Catherine. It was just perfect! If you are not driving - it's on the main express bus from Cork to Dublin. Also a short walk to the train station. Dinner was excellent in the restaurant and many locals celebrated special occasions while l was there But most important was the short walk to the Cahir Castle, parks and Swiss House Amazing customer focus, clean modern rooms and so convenient to attractions

We made a last minute booking at Cahir House Hotel due to poor weather, but were delighted with the warm welcome and friendly staff we met at reception and in the bar. A comfortable stay in a very clean and pleasant environment. Well recommended to anyone.

This hotel is a little gem…. We were visiting in Cahir and decided last minute to stay the night after a beautiful meal served by unreal friendly staff. We were nestled in a cosy corner looking out on to the Sparkling Christmas street lights and I’ve never felt so relaxed in a hotel bar. The decor is traditional with beautiful drape curtains and it was immaculate!! The bar was very popular with locals and the sense of community and laughter fill the air. The bar staff made an extra effort with everyone that walked in and greeted them with a genuine smile. Out room was perfect looking out onto the streets of Cahir. Spotlessly clean and corridors leading to rooms were immaculate. You can see this hotel is truly loved and cared for by its staff and management. The next morning we went down for breakfast and were very impressed that it was a serve to table breakfast in a very beautiful modern setting. We didn’t want to leave! On our departure we checked out with the most friendly receptionist who chatted with us and we expressed how much we enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!! Unbelievably priced rooms and food …. But what made it for us was the good old Irish charm of the staff! Rare these days! Congratulations to you all on presenting such a wonderful establishment. Very comfortable stay and lovely breakfast

A beautiful building, very well situated. The breakfast was outstanding and the public areas very comfortable. The room was a good size and well-appointed, although it was a very long way from reception and the front door. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay at Cahir House Hotel.

We had a wonderful time in Cahir. The hotel was great. The people were friendly and the room was large and very quiet. The staff went above and beyond when I forgot my Kindle reading device in the room when we checked out. They messaged me to let me know they had found it, and then arranged to mail it to me in the next city that we travelled to. Thanks Cahir House Hotel for the great service.
